  • Driving to Galway

    • ​Should you wish to travel to Galway by car, please refer to the AA Road Maps & Route Planner or Google Maps 

    • Parking will be available to book and details will be sent to all conference delegates one week prior to the conference.

​​Getting to University of Galway​

​

  • Walk:

    • University of Galway is a 20 minute walk from Galway Train Station and Galway Bus Station and approx 15 minute walk from Eyre Square. After crossing the Simon Weir Bridge, take a right onto Fisheries Field and follow the EACD 2026 Congress signage. Conference Registration will take place at the Bailey Allen Hall, Áras na Mac Léinn. 

​

  • Bus:

    • Several buses (402, 404, 405) run from Eyre Square to the bus stop NUI Galway (Main Gate). View the bus map here for all the available buses and ask the bus driver if you are unsure. When you alight the bus, the walk is approx. 5 minutes.

    • To arrive at Dunlin Village (accommodation), take bus 404 from Eyre Square (towards Newcastle) to the Greenfields Estate stop (or to the Tudor Lawns stop which has a drop curb at the pedestrian crossing for wheelchair users). Then walk for approx. 5 - 7 minutes.

    • The Galmont Hotel is approx. a 4 minute walk from Galway Bus Station and a 7 minute walk from Galway Train Station. To get to the university from The Galmont Hotel, follow the bus and walking directions above.
