Registration Fees
Registration Information
Registration is required for all congress participants and accompanying persons.

All registration fees are VAT exempt. Registration fees are in Euros and can be paid by bank transfer or debit/credit card.
​​
Please note the respective registration fees shall only be valid if registration is submitted and full payment is received by us by the respective deadline. If payment of the registration fee is received later than the early deadline registration, the respective next higher fee shall be due.

Presenting authors
If your abstract is accepted, you must register for the main congress (3 days), 1 day registrations will not be accepted for presenting authors.

EACD Membership
The non-member registration fee includes a one-year membership to the European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability (EACD). This membership fee is charged on behalf of EACD and is exempt from VAT under Article 44 § 2, 11° of the Belgian VAT Code.

Student Registration
You must be a full time student or registered PhD candidate. Supporting documentation from your University must be produced to support this.​​

Hinari Registration
Only available for individuals living in a country eligible for the Hinari Programme as set up by WHO for low- and middle- income countries. The complete list of countries eligible for the Hinari Programme can be found here. To become an EACD Regular Member – Hinari, you must have a clinical and/or scientific interest in the problems, care and/or treatment of childhood-onset disabilities at the time of your membership application.

Congress Dinner
The Congress Dinner is not included in the registration fee. Tickets can be purchased for €90 (including 23% VAT) when you register for the congress.

Letter of support for Visa application
In order to issue a visa letter, we have to be able to confirm that a delegate is registered and has paid for their registration. Registration payments are required in advance of the congress either by bank transfer or debit/credit card, we cannot accept payment on arrival at the congress. This will also support your visa application, if they have proof that you have paid.
Accommodation
Accommodation at Dunlin Village, University of Galway can be booked via the Congress Registration Form. We have also secured preferential rates for delegates at other hotels in Galway. For further details on all accommodation options, visit the Accommodation page.

Registration Cancellation

Until 3 March 2026, the registration fee will be refundable, with the exception of a € 50 administrative fee.

From 4 March 2026 until 3 April 2026: the registration fee will be 50% refundable.

From 4 April 2026, no refunds will be made.

No refunds will be granted to non-attendees.

In the unlikely case that the conference cannot be held in whole or in part due to any event beyond the Organisers’ control or force majeure (such as riot, fire, explosion, accident, flood, earthquake, sabotage, strikes, acts of law or regulation by foreign Authorities, epidemic outbreak, sanitary emergency, etc) the Event Organisers cannot be held liable for any damage, cost, or loss incurred, such as transportation and accommodation costs, or any other direct or indirect loss or consequential damage. We recommend delegates take out their own insurance to insure against any such losses. Conference registration fees will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred or alternative arrangements offered to delegates.

If you have booked accommodation at Dunlin Village, University of Galway, the following terms and conditions apply. If you have booked accommodation at a hotel, please refer to the hotel's cancellation policy.

The safety and well-being of our attendees is our top priority. The EACD 2026 organisers are committed to providing a safe environment for the event and will make every reasonable effort to do so. However, as an attendee, you must fully understand and knowingly, voluntarily and irrevocably assume all risk related to entry into, and presence in, at and around the event venue(s), which may include an increased risk of exposure to communicable diseases. As an attendee, you hereby accept personal responsibility for your voluntary participation in the event and assume all responsibility of claims and potential claims relating to any risks and hazards of attendance.
