University of Galway was established in 1845, enrolling its first cohort of just 68 students in 1849. Today, it is home to over 3,000 staff and 19,000 students, including 3,000 international students from over 100 countries.
The campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including modern lecture halls, comprehensive libraries, and dedicated event spaces, making it well-equipped to host major conferences and events. Its strategic location in Galway city, combined with a vibrant academic community, ensures a stimulating environment for intellectual engagement and cultural exchange. The main conference venue, the Bailey Allen Hall, is located within a 15-minute walk of the city centre and a 20-minute walk from the on campus residences.
